I picked up at a hazardous materials warehouse, KK. Slider play guitar Slayer Band shirt which I did from time to time, and they loaded the usual chemicals and such, but this time they put a single pallet mid-way in the load with four blue, steel, 55-gallon drums. Before they finished loading the trailer the shipper came and got me out of the truck, which was unusual, I usually just waited until they were done, checked the hazmat placards, and was on my way. This time he took me into the warehouse and into the trailer. He showed me the four drums, had me inspect them, and check the seals on both the large and small openings in the tops against the paperwork, which was an odd blue color similar to the barrels. I did so and he had me sign the documents right there in the truck. I noted that the blue docs had the DEA logo at the top, but thought nothing more of it.

They finished loading the truck while I stood on the dock and KK. Slider play guitar Slayer Band shirt watched. When they were done I signed for the rest of the papers and the shipper took me aside and informed me that those barrels had been sealed by the DEA and if the seals were broken or damaged or there was any sign the drums had been tampered with before I got to Portland I would need to retain a very good criminal defense attorney, and even so it would probably not do me any good. He would not elaborate. I was obviously nervous about this as nothing like it had ever happened before AND, because the load was hazmat I could not seal the trailer because they were often inspected for proper loading and securing at the weigh stations. I got to Portland in record time ( legally, sort of) and made delivery. I watched as the drums were off-loaded and while the seals and barrels were carefully inspected. Unable to stand it any longer I asked the receiver, “What the HELL is in those drums?”
